Space Pak is the alternative to traditional heating and cooling equipment. Nearly 30 years ago Space Pak pioneered flexible central air-conditioning. Space Pak is ideal for older homes, historical landmarks, and townhouses heated with hot water, steam, or radiant electric heat.
The Space Pak system distributes high velocity air through flexible, pre-insulated 2” tubing. This flexible tubing can be run between wall studs or ceiling joists. All that is seen are small, round air outlets. These outlets are available in various finishes, decorative Victorian styles and natural wood grains. These outlets can also be painted or wall papered.
The central air conditioning system is quiet and run by a small blower unit that can fit inside and attic, basement or crawlspace. During the winter the system can be heated through a hot water coil, electric coil, or a heat pump with selected models.
Space Pak’s deep coil design can remove up to 30% more moisture from the air than conventional central air system. With a lower humidity level you will feel cooler and can operate your unit at a higher thermostat setting, which is more energy efficient. Based on the U.S. Department of energy efficiency ratings, Space Pak can deliver 13+ SEER rating and higher depending on the condenser unit.
Rooms are unevenly cooled with conventional central air-conditioning systems. The Space Pak system eliminates hot and cold spots through the use of aspiration, not diffusion. The high velocity air stream mixes with the air in the room causing uniform cooling. Rooms stay comfortable at a more uniform temperature and use less air volume than conventional systems to distribute draft-free cooling.
